Applicants with a special interest in glaucoma are invited to apply for the Locum Consultant ophthalmology post whilst we recruit into the substantive position.

We have a busy, friendly department and the post is based at the Conquest Hospital in St Leonards-on-Sea with sessions at Bexhill Hospital. You will join a team of 7 consultant ophthalmologists across East Sussex NHS Hospital Trust and will be supported by a dedicated specialist optometrist team, trust middle grades and trainee doctors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably trained individual to join a service that is undergoing exciting developments. The successful applicant will be in charge of the development of the acute glaucoma service as well as establishing links with optometrists in the community and developing virtual glaucoma clinics. The department actively supports ongoing professional development through regular joint teaching sessions and clinical audit.

Accommodation may be available on site within the Trust staff residences if required.
