Applications are invited for an Advanced Clinical Optometrist in Ophthalmology based at Conquest Hospital, working cross site with our sister Hospitals (Eastbourne & Bexhill). The post is to commence 2nd April 2018.
The successful applicant will join a team of 8 consultants, 15 optometrists, and full supporting medical, nursing, orthoptic & technician staff to work in extended roles across a range of ophthalmology sub-specialties primarily glaucoma, eye casualty & medical retina. There will be opportunities to expand skills and knowledge within a friendly and enthusiastic team of consultants and medical colleagues as well as working towards higher post graduate qualifications. Good opportunities exist for audit and research.
The post-holder must be GOC registered and have substantial post-registration experience working in the Hospital Eye Service with relevant clinical experience and knowledge of ophthalmology/optometry extended roles.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
