An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the East Sussex Speech and Language Therapy Service supporting the delivery of excellent patient care.
The Speech and Language Therapy service provide assessment, diagnosis and intervention for clients aged 18 and over who have communication and / or swallowing difficulties. We have services based in acute hospitals and within the community. We see a wide range of client groups including people who have suffered strokes, have head and neck cancer, voice disorders or have a neurological condition such as Parkinson’s disease and Motor Neurone Disease. We work closely with our multidisciplinary colleagues across the Out of Hospitals Clinical Unit within ESHT.
We are looking for someone who is dynamic, flexible, forward thinking and organised to join our award winning team! You will be computer literate and have very strong knowledge and practical skills in Microsoft Office applications. Previous experience of managing people is essential as this post will manage the administration teams for the service. Knowledge and practical experience in NHS electronic systems such as Datix, Meridian, Healthroster and SystmOne would be beneficial. We are looking for someone to support us to continue to provide excellent care to our patients through service improvement projects, so experience of audit and service improvement projects would be advantageous. This role will also support the service to provide assurance of robust clinical governance processes. The post holder will be required to collate, monitor and present information. This will also include representing the service at internal and external meetings as required.
