We provide our services at two district general hospitals, Conquest Hospital and Eastbourne District General Hospital, community hospitals in Bexhill, Crowborough, Lewes, Rye and Uckfield and a number of clinics and health centres, GP surgeries, schools and in people’s homes.

The Preceptorship programme is delivered by our Clinical Education team in conjunction with clinical preceptors. Upon completion of this programme you will be encouraged to continue to develop your management and leadership skills and develop your career.
All posts will include a commitment to work days, nights, weekends and bank holidays where applicable to the service.
We currently have vacancies in all our Clinical Units
Diagnostic, Anaesthetic and Surgery Division
Emergency Orthopaedics and high risk emergency and elective General Surgery is provided at the Conquest Hospital in Hastings. All Urology surgery is undertaken at Eastbourne District General Hospital. Low risk General Surgery and all elective Orthopaedics are provided on both sites. Bexhill Hospital has a thriving Ophthalmology Day Surgery Unit and Ophthalmology services are also provided on each main site. Uckfield Hospital also has a thriving Day Surgery Unit.
The medical division has a little of everything to suit everyone within medicine. Looking for an exciting and challenging work life the acute admissions unit stroke cardiology gastroenterology and or acute respiratory medicine might be for you we have several areas to choose from over two sites.
Our two Emergency Departments see approximately 100,000 patients per unit, per year. You will have the opportunity to become competent in all areas of the Emergency Department which includes Minors, Majors, Resuscitation, Triage, Paediatrics and in the Clinical Decisions Unit.
Out of Hospital Care
We provide both Stroke and generic rehabilitation in a number of Intermediate care Units in Bexhill , Rye and two units in Eastbourne, Firwood House and Milton Grange, which are jointly run with East Sussex County Council Adult Social Care.
Are you committed to avoiding unnecessary hospital admissions, and enabling patients to receive safe care in their own home? Our Integrated Locality Teams in Hastings & St Leonards, Bexhill, Rural Rother, Eastbourne Hailsham & Polegate , and Seaford have a number of opportunities for Staff Nurses to join the community nursing teams working either full or part time and with consideration for family friendly hours.
Women and Children
We are a busy and dynamic maternity unit currently delivering approximately 3,500 women a year. We care for women with low and high risk pregnancies. We have a dedicated obstetric theatre, which provides both elective and emergency procedures.
