We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to be part of a friendly, dynamic, multidisciplinary team. The successful applicant will be supported to use their own initiative supporting the Support workers and key stakeholders to develop and manage the acute in-patients with fractured hips.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership skills within a clinical environment. Applicants should be self-motivated, dynamic and forward thinking and be able to support the ward matrons to lead and develop the nursing team.

They will have some experience of implementing change and be a good communicator with the ability, use effective verbal, written and IT skills to ensure patients receive timely, evidence based care and a positive patient experience.

Key aspects of the role include:
• Support the acute wards to provide highly quality nursing care, education and patient management.
• Work as part of the multidisciplinary team, supporting Support workers in the management of the Patients Pathway, acting as a liaison between Orthopaedic and Ortho-geriatric Consultants, Ward Staff, and internal/external agencies as required.
• Provide support to patients and their families around the conditions and provide information ensuring a positive experience.
