An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Sexual Health Nurse Practitioner, to provide a high-level quality service to the local East Sussex community using Sexual Health Services. It is essential for the individual to have knowledge, clinical ability and experience of working within sexual health, HIV and contraception services. However, should you have the aptitude and personal qualities to develop into the role, you could be considered for a trainee post under Band 6 Annex U arrangements for pay.

We provide an integrated Sexual health service and are committed to developing our staff and services into the future. Within the department we offer extensive opportunities for career progression, with a service delivery that is prodominately nurse led.

The service operates Monday to Saturday as follows :- Mon 8 - 8pm, Tues 8 - 8pm, Wed 8 - 8pm, Thurs 8 - 4pm, Fri 8 -8 pm and Sat 11:30 - 15:30pm. There are also a number of outreach services which you will be expected to travel to. Please note that Saturday's and outreach clinics run on a rotational basis.

The post holder will be clinically responsible for the day-to-day assessment, testing and treatment of those who attend the sexual health service. It is essential that you are trained in the care and management of people requesting sexually transmitted infection screening and contraception. You will be individually responsible, along with your colleagues for ensuring the efficient and effective use of available resources in meeting the sexual health needs of people in East Sussex.

Whilst based in Avenue House in Eastbourne, there is cross site working in our sister clinic at Station Plaza in Hastings.

If you feel that this exciting opportunity is for you, then please apply.
