OUTPATIENT DEPT – Conquest, Bexhill and Rye

Up to Six Months Working to the Higher Band /Secondment Opportunity
An exciting development opportunity has arisen for a 6 month secondment as a Band 7 Matron in the main Out Patient Department at the Conquest Hospital

The Outpatient Service is the shop window of the Trust that aims to provide a service that is patient focused, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. We are a reforming service that is committed to meeting the challenges of the 18-week and 62-day pathways that is flexible and supportive to providing a positive patient’s experience.

You will need to provide strong leadership, possess excellent communication skills and be able to develop and support staff with clinical and professional expertise. You will also be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising standards of care and professionalism.

You must have advanced clinical knowledge and skills, be willing to participate in research and audit projects and will also be expected to work with a certain amount of autonomy. In return you will be offered excellent managerial support and commitment to both your personal and professional development.

You must be a 1st level Registered Nurse with significant experience at Band 6 Sister /Charge Nurse level. Ideally you will be educated to a degree level or be working towards a degree. The ENB 998/mentorship level 3 is essential as is an awareness of the current professional, research and practice issues and an understanding of modern human resource management.
