ESHT is committed to offering new employees an apprenticeship programme of study to support their role. Please ask when you apply/at interview if you are keen to undertake a programme and we can check if there is a suitable one available to match your role (the opportunities available are changing all the time, there may not be something for you at the time of your appointment but a programme may be written over the coming months which suits you). Apprenticeships are available at level 2 (GCSE equivalent) right up to Degree or Masters level so don’t forget to check with us.
East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust has hospitals in sunny seaside towns that provide radiological services to a large catchment area and we are only a 45 minute train ride to Brighton and 1.5 hour train ride to London.
The General Radiology Departments provide services for General radiography, A&E, Fluoroscopy and Theatre schedules. Rotation to other specialties within the department can include CT, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Mammography, Interventional and Cardiac Angiography.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with good clinical standards and interpersonal skills, who would like to join our friendly team in the Sussex region.
As part of our commitment to CPD training, the successful candidate will rotate through the other modalities in order to develop their radiographic knowledge. And we can offer sponsorship opportunities with staff currently undertaking sponsorship in Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine and Reporting.
We are a training centre for student Radiographers and therefore you will have the opportunity to become a mentor as well as expected to participate fully in their training whilst maintaining professional standards at all times.
UK Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Diagnostic Radiographer must be obtained prior to commencement of employment.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
