Accident and Emergency Department
Band 7 – £31,696 £41,787 per annum
Full time – 37.5 hours- Internal Rotation
We are a busy Emergency Department treating on average 50,000 patients a year. We are looking for Band 7- Matron to work within the Accident and Emergency Department. There is no guessing what the day might bring.
Every day will be different, busy but never dull. You will enjoy working with supportive co-workers, providing an efficient and caring service to our patients
You will need to provide strong leadership, possess excellent communication skills and be able to develop and support staff with clinical and professional expertise. You will also be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising standards of care and professionalism.
You must have advanced clinical knowledge and skills, be willing to participate in research and audit projects and will also be expected to work with a certain amount of autonomy. In return you will be offered excellent managerial support and commitment to both your personal and professional development.
The successful candidates must have a. minimum of 5 yrs post-qualification experience with substantive experience at Band 6 in an Emergency Unit setting. A post registration qualification in ENP is desirable as is an awareness of the current professional, research and practice issues and an understanding of modern human resource management.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
